Explore the use of expressive art therapies to foster personal growth and community development in individual and group interventions. Participants will have the opportunity to experience for themselves the power of visual arts, movement, drama, music, writing and other creative processes while also gaining insight and practice in developing appropriate framework to incorporate the use of expressive art therapies in their practice.
Jessica Northam MA completed a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts for Social Justice from the University of New Mexico in 2013 and a Master’s Degree in Theater with an emphasis on Drama Therapy from Kansas State University in 2015. She has used the Expressive Arts in a variety of Central and South American countries to help people heal from traumatic experiences. We are very pleased to have her providing this training for us.
