Training objectives include:

  • Develop greater knowledge and appreciation of the social/political context when working with survivors of mass violence and torture.
  • Develop a broader awareness of the kinds of potential ethical dilemmas that can occur when working with survivors of mass violence and torture.
  • Practice developing a plan of action to resolve situations that include ethical dilemmas using an ethical decision-making tool.

Strengthening Community through Sharing Food & Stories

 

Tidwell is hosting a FREE monthly dinner for Boise’s international communities. This event is open to the public.

The purpose of this event is to strengthen and build support networks amongst all members of the community.

Advanced Clinical Supervision Training

Training objectives include:

  • Explore ways to successfully integrate indigenous and western models of care into treatments and supervision methods more likely to result in positive outcomes.
  • Explore creative funding ideas that include the needed flexibility to provide culturally sensitive care.
  • Practice a method for adapting boundary decisions to incorporate culturally sensitive boundary management.
  • Practice helping supervisees notice their own biases to improve treatment and supervision outcomes.
